Happy Thankgiving to all.

Fall is definately in the air and our birds are into the fall moult.  Now is a good time if they are on a daily supplement to switch that up for a moulting supplement with a little extra added calcium. 

We just received today the Fall 2009 copy of GOOD BIRD MAGAZINE.  Containts such articles as “Simple Solution to a Fear Response”, “Parrots and the Importance of Flight”, “When a Parrot Won’t go Back into the Cage”, “Oops I Scared my Parrot” and a great article on “The Do’s and Don’ts of Harness Training your Parrot”. 

I know we were supposed to put another Hidden Picture on the On Line Catalog, but we sort of got waylaid with other duties as we “thought” our little American Eskimo was going to have leg surgery.  After sedating him, shaving his leg and underbelly, taking more xrays, the vet and myself have decided we are going to waiit a bit and try and strength the leg joints naturally with some sea mussell, genacol and lots of exerciese. We will re evaluate him in six months and make a decison at that time.  He is having joint and ligament issues which is not so good considering this has been going on since a baby with him and he is now only 2.  Poor guy looks pretty funny right now with one bare leg!  I warn folks not to laugh at him, he does have feelings! LOL 

Have you noted all the new toys.  Man oh Man we have lots.  We esepcially like the Bamboo Giant and Rawhide Giant.  These toys are LOADED with soft woods all suspended from a massive bamboo or rawhide log.  Very reasonabily priced I also might add!

 The Macaw Bridge is loaded with leathers and natural woods, great for parront owners who prefer not to give coloured woods.

 The Leather and Block Boing here is also an amazing toy.  These toys are for the birds you are nervous will get intertwined in toys with cotton or sisal rope.  ROPEFREE 

Coming into Stock the first week of NOvember we have some more great wood and leather toys along with a new table top play stand with natural wood perches.

 Means it is Thanksgiving Weekend, let’s see who is reading the Blog.  I know, I can’t say as I blame you if you have not been lately, as we have not been on the ball in keeping it updated, but we continue to promise to do better!  Seems time is at a premium lately!
