FIND ARBIE
Hi Folks
Been awhile huh! Our sincere apologies.
As most of you know, not only do we supply all your parrots with their every need, we also breed and hand raise parrots. After a lot of very serious considertion we have made the decision to downsize our breeding considerably and found our profilic breeder parrots new homes. Life has just been so busy with the store and keeping all your folk’s birds happy. We are keeping Arbie and Muffin (our Red Belly parrots who have always shared my office in the house with me), our Timneh greys Sherman and Corky and our Hahns Dudley and Dutchess. Dudley and Dutchess are just a year old yet so they should not have the “urge” for a few years yet. Or their focus in life could become as Arbie and Muffins, which is ensuring they know and see everything that is going on around them! Making sure to tell me if it’s Breakfast or Supper time. Ensuring I don’t forget bedtime or their treats. Telling me his cage and/or water is dirty. He hears my blackberry ding and is quick on the ball to tell me EMAIL! Average, takes this boy a day and a half to learn a new word or phase. Someday I must log all their words, phases and songs.
Our greys, well they are no better They have laid a clutch of infertile eggs this year, but believe me when I say they have not mastered the art of copulating! LOL As with the other two pairs I am keeping these two are more focused on talking to me and being pets.
My office has three full walls of windows, and with dimensions of 16 x 20 there should be plenty of room to share with them! L As all three pairs have quite an extensive vocabulary, it really should be quite entertaining by times!
We will miss raising babies as we truly adored doing so, But hey, ya never know……….Arbie might one day wake up and figure out he is a male and stop worrying about being the centre of attention. Muffin would be so happy. I have never seen such a nosey bird, so in sinz with my moves, actions and words. Last month I was moving a cage into my office for Dudley and Dutchess. No sooner did I start rolling that cage across the floor and Arbie starts with Damn………….Damn……………Damn! He knows before I get across that floor at least once, I am going to say Damn. Second fav’s, if something is going to fall, you can be sure before it hits the floor Arbie is going to yell “OH SHIT”
Words obviously I use too often (not good ones I might add with parrots around).
Don’t hesitate to email if you are looking for a new companion parrot to share your home with as we do have an extensive clientele of breeders that we could most certainly lead you to nice hand raised babies.
We will not be removing www.lovebirds.ca website as it is full of very useful information. We just will not be doing updates on this site.
Let’s get back to some Healthy Bird News.
We have just now finished updating the catalog with a whole slue of new items arriving Sept. 18, 2009. Seems we have quite a few beavers as one customers has said, in our clientele listing! Hence why we have a lot of mega large chewing toys coming this week to hopefully last a bit longer than other toys have lasted! If you go onto the catalog and click onto What’s New, they will all list for you. I think I counted some 60-70 new items I put on the Catalog yesterday, so much too many to list here, sorry.
We now have Bee’s Wax candles in stock. These are safe to burn in the presence of birds, so not only would be nice for those quiet dinner/evenings, but for power interruptions. We have two styles coming this week that have 50 hour burn time each.
In stock also we have Wingabago’s in Small and Medium/Large. The first order we received sold out very quickly, more will be in stock Sept 18. Note the Stainless Steel Door can be puchased separately along with carrier covers and cotton perches. Whoops, covers and perches not on the catalog yet! L
Wingdow Seats have also been a huge success and sold out very quickly. More will be in stock this week. These are items you almost have to see in person before you realize the high quality of them. We have one customer that has puchased one to use in her shower. Excellent idea for a person that loves to soak in the tub and have their parrot(s) sitting close by. No poo falls in the tub!
Why do you suppose we have labelled this post “Find Arbie”? We are going to test your patience! Somewhere in the some 2,000 items on our catalog, instead of a picture of the product advertised you will see this picture of Arbie. Place your order, let us know where Arbie is and we will include a toy valued at $10.00 (our choice) with your order. This offer runs until Sept. 20th. Sept. 21 - Sept 29 we will have Dudley hidden for you to find with a new bonus for who finds him.
